VENUE DECISION TIPS
Did you just get engaged? 💍
Maybe you are hoping for a New Year and a new ring?
This is just a friendly PSA. DO NOT wait until after the New Year to start looking for your venue. Here are some of our tips as you get ready to pick that dream venue!
Here are some thoughts:
1. BE PREPARED TO BOOK IN PERSON-
We cannot hold dates. Now more than ever this stands true. It’s officially engagement season and we have so many tours scheduled and inquiries coming in at paces you wouldn’t believe. The only way we can guarantee that you can book your date is by booking during your tour. Usually we can keep up and let a couple know if someone is inquiring about their day. At this point there is just no way for us to do that. We blink and we have 7 new inquiries 😂
2. RESEARCH-
We highly encourage you to do your research and price compare. Every venue is different at how they package their prices and what they include. From someone’s website you could think that they are the more affordable option but 99% of the time that is never true. Many places run off of minimums and have all kinds of add-ons and fees that you may be unaware of. Be sure to ask questions! Walking into a venue tour you should know the difference between that venue and others. Maybe one is inclusive and one is à la carte. Never be afraid to ask questions during your tour, we love answering all questions regarding weddings not just our venue!
3. BE FLEXIBLE-
We know October is a popular month to get married for example. So much so that people will pick the following year just to get the time of year they want. Our fall 2022 dates filled up so fast that our fall 2023 dates are filling up before other months in 2022. We highly encourage you to make a top-five list of dates and seasons you’re willing to consider. A Friday or a Sunday wedding really helps your options as well.
4. IMAGINE-
One of our favorite things to do with people on a tour if they are struggling with the decision is to tell them to close their eyes. Weird right? We ask them to envision all their friends and family and their wedding day and them walking down the aisle. When you take yourself there to that moment and what really matters, you’ll know what the right decision is. ✨
